"End Hostage Taking for Commercial Benefit in Uzbekistan" — Says Robert Amsterdam

Amsterdam & Partners LLP condemns in the strongest terms what can only be described as a horrific act of bad faith conduct by the Government of Uzbekistan and the National Bank of Uzbekistan.

While discussions between SOLFY and the National Bank of Uzbekistan were ongoing, Hasanov Uktam Nasullotevich was abruptly detained in the middle of the night in circumstances that appear designed to extract maximum leverage from SOLFY.

What Happened?!

Uktam Hasanov is a citizen of Uzbekistan, appointed as director of Solfy CA LLC in October 2021. The company operated in partnership with the National Bank of Uzbekistan: over 2,100 merchant contracts, thousands of clients, a real and functioning business.

In March 2026, during active settlement negotiations, Hasanov was arrested in the middle of the night. Charges were filed exactly two days after the investor's lawyers issued a firm deadline to the bank. Hasanov is the sole defendant.
